Spread Kindness

In a small town where everyone seemed to rush through life, an old man named Peter spent each morning standing by the bakery, handing out warm muffins to strangers. He never asked for anything in return — just a smile.

One cold morning, a young woman named Maya stopped to thank him. She’d lost her job the week before and had been feeling invisible to the world. Peter smiled gently and said, “Kindness costs nothing, but it changes everything.”

That same day, Maya decided to buy an extra cup of coffee for a delivery driver waiting in line behind her. He was so surprised that he told his coworkers — and the gesture spread through town like sunlight breaking through clouds.

By the end of the week, people were leaving thank-you notes on park benches, helping carry groceries, and smiling more than they had in years.

When someone asked Peter how it all started, he simply said, “It was never about muffins. It was about reminding people that goodness is contagious.”
