It started like any other afternoon outside a grocery store in Clearwater, Florida. Witnesses say an elderly man, proudly wearing a red “Make America Great Again” hat, was walking toward his car when a woman approached him, shouting insults about politics.
According to police reports, the confrontation escalated quickly. The woman allegedly slapped the hat off the man’s head, shouting that he was “what’s wrong with this country.” When the man tried to walk away, she shoved him, causing him to stumble. Several bystanders rushed to help and called 911.
