Bodycam Captures Tragic Moments After 11-Year-Old Killed in Las Vegas Road Rage Shooting

Police in Las Vegas have released harrowing body camera footage showing the chaotic and heartbreaking moments following a deadly road rage incident in which an 11-year-old boy was shot and killed while riding in the back seat of his stepfather’s car.

The boy, Brandon Dominguez Chavarria, was on his way to school when a heated exchange occurred between his stepfather and the alleged shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Johns, as they merged onto a Nevada freeway. Seconds later, Johns fired shots, mortally wounding Brandon in the back of the vehicle.

The footage captures the stepfather screaming in agony, unable to console himself, while Tyler Johns appears stunned and shocked at the aftermath of his actions. At the scene, police immediately took Johns into custody, cuffing him and placing him in the back of a patrol car.

Brandon’s family shared photos of him on GoFundMe, highlighting the devastating loss. In court this week, Brandon’s mother confronted the shooter, stating, “He wanted to take somebody’s life away. He took my son away. He was just trying to make it to school.”

Johns is charged with murder and is currently being held without bail. The case has sparked widespread discussion about road rage, gun violence, and the tragic consequences of a single moment of rage.
