In a dramatic incident that took place at a railway crossing near Krakow, Poland, a train collided with an Opel delivery truck. The event was captured on video and has since circulated widely.
The collision occurred on August 1st, at a guarded level crossing in the village of Wola Filipowska. According to initial reports, the driver of the delivery van ignored flashing red lights and entered the tracks just as the crossing barriers began to lower. Trapped between the barriers, the driver attempted to maneuver the vehicle but was unable to clear the tracks in time.
A train traveling on the Świnoujście-Krakow route then struck the van. Despite the destructive force of the impact, which completely destroyed the vehicle, the driver of the van miraculously escaped without serious injury. All passengers and crew aboard the train were also unharmed. The police released the body camera footage to serve as a warning to other drivers about the dangers of disregarding railway crossing signals.
