Beachgoers were left in shock after two toddlers were found alone and crying by the shoreline, their mother nowhere in sight.
When confronted later, the woman casually claimed she had only gone to “park her car.” But witnesses say she vanished for over an hour, leaving the children vulnerable to the pounding surf and scorching sun.
A lifeguard described the chilling scene:
“The waves were coming closer, and the kids were just sitting there, scared and confused. It could have gone very wrong.”
Police have since arrested the mother, who now faces charges of child endangerment and abandonment. The toddlers are safe and in protective care.
