Police Take Down the Dirt Bike Cowboy Kid in the Suburbs – Body Cam Footage

A wild scene unfolded in a quiet suburban neighborhood when officers were forced to chase down a reckless dirt bike rider, now dubbed online as the “Dirt Bike Cowboy Kid.”

According to police reports, the young man had been weaving through traffic, tearing across lawns, and performing dangerous stunts in residential streets — all while recording himself for social media. Residents called 911 after several near-collisions with vehicles and pedestrians.

Body cam footage shows officers coordinating to contain the rider, who ignored repeated commands to stop. The chase stretched through several blocks, with the suspect narrowly avoiding oncoming traffic and even cutting through a local park.

Eventually, officers boxed him in at a dead end. The rider attempted to accelerate past them, but one quick-thinking officer tackled him off the bike in a dramatic takedown caught entirely on camera.

No one was seriously injured, though the teen was arrested and charged with reckless driving, resisting arrest, and endangering the public.

Police say the incident serves as a warning against turning suburban streets into stunt arenas. “These roads aren’t racetracks,” one officer said. “Someone could have been killed.”

The viral video of the takedown has sparked debate online — with some praising the officers’ quick action, while others question the risks of high-speed pursuits in residential areas.

One thing’s certain: the “Dirt Bike Cowboy Kid” won’t be riding again anytime soon.
