THE WOMAN FAKED A SEIZURE TO AVOID BEING ARRESTED

dramatic roadside encounter took a bizarre turn yesterday when a woman, facing imminent arrest, allegedly collapsed to the ground and began to feign a seizure in a desperate attempt to evade custody. The entire performance was captured on police body camera footage, which quickly went viral under the blunt caption: “KNOCK IT OFF.”

The incident occurred on a rain-slicked suburban street, as depicted in the bodycam still image. A sheriff’s deputy is seen standing over a person lying on the wet pavement, clad in a brown jacket, with the caption clearly stating: “THE WOMAN FAKED A SEIZURE TO AVOID BEING ARRESTED.” The timestamp on the footage reads February 16, 2025, at 4:55 PM.

According to the sheriff’s department report, the deputy initiated a stop for an unspecified violation, which quickly escalated. As the deputy informed the woman she was being placed under arrest, she allegedly dropped to the ground without warning and began exhibiting symptoms of a grand mal seizure.

However, the officer’s training and experience quickly led him to suspect the performance was an act. Witnesses corroborated the sudden, theatrical nature of the “seizure.” The deputy can be heard on the full bodycam footage, sternly telling the woman to “knock it off” and warning her that she would face additional charges for obstructing justice.

“It’s not uncommon for individuals to attempt various tactics to avoid arrest, but faking a serious medical condition like a seizure is a dangerous and cynical ploy,” stated a sheriff’s department spokesperson. “It wastes valuable emergency resources and puts both the suspect and officers at greater risk.”

After several minutes, when it became clear her act was not deterring the deputy, the woman abruptly ceased her performance and was taken into custody without further incident. She now faces not only the original charges but also additional counts of resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration. The incident serves as a stark reminder that attempts to deceive law enforcement are rarely successful and often lead to more severe consequences.
