Traffic Stop Escalates as Colonel Refuses to Cooperate, Window Broken to Remove Her from Vehicle

A dramatic traffic stop captured on bodycam shows a confrontation between law enforcement and a woman, referred to as a colonel, who refused to roll down her window and provide driver’s license, insurance, and registration after allegedly speeding.

The incident escalated after the officer asked her multiple times to cooperate. When she refused, law enforcement broke the vehicle window to remove her. During the removal, the colonel reportedly sustained minor injuries from the glass. She also complained about damage to her glasses and requested her phone and the ability to contact her commander, citing her military status.

The stop included discussion over the officer’s radar evidence, the speed violation in a construction zone, and the woman’s possession of a large sum of cash in the vehicle. Officers conducted an inventory of the vehicle for proper accounting before towing. The colonel repeatedly asked to contact her commander, which was delayed until she reached the jail.

The encounter raised questions online regarding civilian rights, military personnel interactions with law enforcement, and proper procedure during high-tension traffic stops, especially concerning property, communication rights, and use of force.
